How active? Well, let's find out! The latest Mod Olympics kicks off with some UN-related tasks: - UN Cheat Checks -ĩ : Enodia - Nations Ejected from UN -Ģ : Neutered Sputniks - UN proposals removed. This means we now have just two Senior Game Moderators - Reploid Productions and Scolopendra - but both are highly active.

Thus, Melkor Unchained, one of the game's original mods but less active these days, is moving from Senior Game Moderator to Game Moderator. This is not by any means a demotion or punishment, just a reflection of the mod's current availibility. Titles should reflect a mod's current role, not their past service, so from now on if a mod becomes less active, his/her title will change accordingly. Oftentimes a mod will be very active for a while, then, as their RL circumstances change, change down a gear. And for an enormous amount of technical work behind the scenes that nobody ever sees, SalusaSecondus is promoted to Game Admin. In recognition of outstanding service over a significant period, Scolopendra is hereby promoted from Game Moderator to Senior Game Moderator. Whoo! Exciting times, exciting times.įirst, it is my pleasure to announce two big promotions.
Ryzom forums plus#
Today we have the THIRD NOT-QUITE PERIODIC MOD OLYMPICS, plus some promotions, and a reassignment thrown in. If it does respond, then you know the server is reachable, and its likely something with the client - which is where you'd get help from the ryzom tech staff directly.Well, kind of. You can also try doing "telnet .com 40916" from the cmd prompt - if that can't connect then you can't connect to the server. possibly you have a routing issue with your isp, or one of the isp's between you and the server. If the server doesn't respond to the trace. i'll leave this here for other people trying to figure out their own issues: try tracing to the server address - start, run, type cmd, press ok, from the prompt type "tracert .com" - if that times out (let it go til it stops, even if it times out on a few hops sometimes the trace goes through unroutable space (internal network space that is not reachable by the internet) and then picks up again. if it doesn't, then its not the firewallĮdit: I see you already did a trace. If it does, then something is mucky with your firewall. If you suspect the firewall, and enabling the right ports doesnt work, the first step is to disable the firewall completely, and see if it connects. Please do not recreate a guild or join another one in the meantime. This is a side effect of the merge that will be corrected with tomorrow's patch.

To former Cho players: you will notice that you aren't in your guild anymore. As a result the live shards will be closed from 9am to 11am GMT.
Ryzom forums Patch#
Good news, the patch is scheduled for tomorrow Thursday 3. Re: Patch and server merge on Wednesday, May 2nd When we'll reopen Arispotle, even if you will be able to log on this server, you may not be able to play with your ex-Cho character(s) yet. This specific Cho operation may take a bit longer than 4 hours. We will move Cho characters to Arispotle in the same time and apply the rules described here. The content of the patch is what you have been testing on the ATS since April 24. As a result we will close the shards from 8am to 12pm GMT and Cho won't be reopened. We will patch the live shards next Wednesday. Patch and server merge on Wednesday, May 2nd Post on the forums and you'll get far better network advice than mine, too. Do you get a ping from .com ? You could try running a tracert and send the results to the CSRs.

In my experience, it's very rare for the Ryzom servers to be down at all, so it sounds like something between you and the servers is interfering. Yes, that was the bit I meant - sorry I posted in a hurry and didn't dig it out, but it only applies to old copies of the game, some of which I believe are still floating around.
Ryzom forums full#
But I have a hard time believing it's been down a full week or more.

Every time I try to login I get "Error: invalid server return, missing return code." Searching the Ryzom forums, the few posts about that error all mention the login server being down. I forwarded the ports in my firewall, I even put my rig in DMZ, I can't connect. Update: If you mean the bit about StartupHost = ".com:40916" my client_default.cfg already had that line.
